According to a new report, the OPPO Find N2 foldable smartphone will be released in 2022, but this does not apply to the company’s rollable smartphone. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster.
OPPO Find N2 is scheduled to launch in 2022, but the company’s rollable may not
He revealed this via Weibo (a Chinese social media network). However, that’s not all he said. He mentioned the OPPO Find N2 phone, but also OPPO’s first vertically folding smartphone. In other words, OPPO may also announce its Clamshell Foldable this year.
This clamshell smartphone will be a direct competitor to the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Huawei P50 Pocket, and Motorola’s upcoming Razr 3. Let’s just hope that OPPO makes its two foldables available worldwide.
As a reminder, the original OPPO Find N we reviewed was only released in China. OPPO never shipped it with global software, which is a shame considering the hardware is excellent. Let’s hope that changes with the second generation model.
A collapsible claw is also coming
However, we don’t know much about the company’s foldable clamshell. This device has been rumored for a while now, and it makes sense that it would be released this year. We expect more information soon.
Now the scrollable. OPPO announced its rollable concept smartphone, the OPPO X 2021, in December 2020. This was a concept device and never went on sale, but it was a functional device.
This got us excited about rollable smartphones and we were hoping that OPPO would deliver one in 2021. That didn’t happen as it should arrive in 2022. Well, it looks like that won’t happen either.
The insider said that OPPO has greatly improved the concept, both internally and on the screen. Sadly, the phone doesn’t seem to be anywhere near launch. We may have to wait until 2023.
